DEVIKA देविका :: 

देविकाSनामिकामूले सन्धिरेखोपरि स्थिता।

निम्नरूपा मुक्तिदा च नाम्नाष्टैश्वर्यसूचकम्॥ 

DEVIKA देविका

उलटे हाथ में अनामिका-सूर्य की ऊँगली की संधि रेखा पर उपस्थित यह गहरी रेखा मनुष्य को मोक्ष दायक है। यह जातक को दिव्य शक्तियाँ भी प्रदान करती है।  

Its found at the base of Sandhi Rekha-juncture line. Its deep cut and grants emancipation from life-rebirth. It gives divine powers like omnipotence. It grants cessation of further births to the bearer.

EMANCIPATION :: freeing, liberation, liberating, setting free, release, releasing, letting loose/out, setting loose/free, discharge; 

OMNIPOTENCE :: all-powerfulness, Almightiness, supremacy, pre-eminence, supreme power, absolute/unlimited power, undisputed sway, divine right

CESSATION:: end, ending, termination, stopping, halting, ceasing, finish, finishing, stoppage, closing, closure, close, conclusion, winding up, discontinuation, discontinuance, breaking off, abandonment, interruption, suspension, cutting short.  

PARISTIRNA परिस्तीर्णा :: 

परिस्तीर्णा तदूर्ध्वस्था सदा संसारबंधदा।

परिस्तीर्णेति शाल्याद्यै: पूर्णगेहत्वसूचनात्॥    

PARISTIRNA परिस्तीर्णा

यह  देविका के ऊपर पाई जाती है और जातक को भरपूर अन्न-धान्य प्रदान करती है। 

Its found above Devika and indicate perpetual involvement in family life. Its name points towards a house full of cereals like rice.

PARIDHI परिधि:

परिधिस्तु तदूर्ध्वस्था नित्यनैमित्तिकादिषु।

कर्मस्वभिरुचिं कुर्यात मुक्तिं वा सम्प्रयच्छति॥ 

परिधिः सततं वहौ होम कर्म प्रसूचनात्। 

यह परिस्तीर्णा के ऊपर पाई जाती है। यह मनुष्य के मन मस्तिष्क में मुक्ति-मोक्ष की इच्छा पैदा करती है और मोक्ष प्रदान भी करती है। इसको परिधि नाम इसलिए मिला है क्योंकि इसके लिए अग्निहोत्र की आवश्यकता भी पड़ती है। 

Its found over Paristrina. It generate desire in the routine and optional performances of the bearer. It also gives final beatitude. Its called so because of sacrificial fire required for these performances.

BEATITUDE :: परम सुख, परमगति, मोक्ष, परमानंद, निर्वाण, ईसामसीह का आशीर्वचन; emancipation, beatification, blissfulness, Nirvan-Moksh, blessedness, benediction, grace, the blessings.

VARTULA वर्तुला

VARTULA वर्तुला :: 

वर्तुलाSनामिकामूले वर्तुलाकृतिः स्फुटा।

सचिवायत्तसिद्धितवं तत्फलं नाम च स्फुटम्॥ 

उलटे हाथ की अनामिका के निम्न पर्व में पाई जाने वाली यह गोलाकार रेखा मनुष्य को राजदरबार में मंत्री पद प्रदान करती है। 

Its present at the base of the ring finger of the left hand and is called vartula due to its round shape. Its clear in formation and one may become a minister bearing this line.

SINHIKA सिंहिका :: 

SINHIKA सिंहिका

सिंहिकाSनामिकामूलपर्ववस्था विजयप्रदा।

नृपाणां तत्व निर्णीतः ब्राह्मणानां तु तत्फलम्॥

सिंहिकेति च नामापि सदा शूरत्वसूचनात्। 

उलटे हाथ की अनामिका के निम्न पर्व में पाई जाने वाली यह सीधी खड़ी यह रेखा राजा को दुश्मनों पर विजय प्रदान करती है। ब्राह्मणों को यह रेखा शास्त्र का महान  ज्ञान और विवेचना शक्ति प्रदान करती है। 

Its present at the lower phalange of the Left hand Sun-ring finger. It gives victory against the foes for the kings and great authority in expounding truths for the Brahmns. Its name indicates valour. Great courage in the face of danger, especially in battle.

MANU मनुः

VALOUR :: निर्भयता, साहस, शूर-वीरता, हिम्मत; bravery, hardihood, heroine, pluck, stoutness, valiance, chivalry, gallantry, metal, grit, stout-heart, courageousness, daring, effrontery, intrepidity, courage, fearlessness, courageousness, braveness, intrepidity, pluck, pluckiness, nerve, backbone, spine, heroism, stout-heartedness, manliness, audacity, boldness, spirit, fortitude, mettle, dauntlessness. 

MANU मनुः :: 

मनुः तदूर्ध्वभागस्थो निम्नाकारोSतिदुर्लभः।

मन्त्राभ्यासरतत्वं तु फलं स्पष्टं च नाम हि॥

मनु एक साफ और गहरी रेखा है जो कि जातक को शुद्ध मंत्रोच्चारण की शक्ति-विद्वता प्रदान करती है। 

Its deep and clear in appearance & is present above Sinhika. It provides proficiency to the bearer in the pronouncing of Mantr-chanting spells. 

YAVISHTHA यविष्ठा :: 

YAVISHTHA यविष्ठा

यविष्ठाSतिसमीपस्था  तदूर्ध्व मन्त्रसिद्धिदा।

यविष्ठेति च नामापि प्रावीण्यातिशयत्वतः॥  

यविष्ठा के प्रभाव से जातक अद्वितीय विद्वान पुरुष होगा और उसे वेदों के मंत्र और श्लोकों के मंत्रोपचारण का उचित फल भी प्राप्त होगा। यह मनु के ऊपर स्थित होगी। 

Its placed above Manu and is very clear in appearance. It bestows the reward of the enchantment of Mantr-Vedic Shloks to the bearer. It grants extraordinary learning to the bearer.

BHUTI भूति

BHUTI भूति ::

भूतिः यविष्ठोर्ध्वदेशे किञ्चिच्छिष्टा समृध्दिदा।

सौशील्यं सुभगत्वं च फलं नाम परिस्फुटम्॥   

भूति यविष्ठा के ऊपर कुछ उभरी हुई पाई जायेगी।  यह जातक हर वस्तु को प्रचुर मात्रा में प्रदान करेगी। उसे अत्युत्तम चरित्र और मधुर व्यवहार की क्षमता प्राप्त होगी। यह उसके महान सौभाग्य को प्रकट करती है। 

Bhuti would be found above Yavishtha. It will grant every thing in plenty to bearer. He would bear excellent character and sweet disposition. This line shows his good luck as well.

ADHIKA अधिका

ADHIKA अधिका :: 

अधिकाSनामिकान्तस्था पर्वण्यंशगता कृशा।

तत्फलं तर्कशूरत्वं युक्तिज्ञत्वमथापि वा॥

उभयं वाSत्र  नामार्थः स्पष्टो वृत्ताकृतित्वतः। 

यह गोलाकार पतली रेखा,  उलटे हाथ की अनामिका-सूर्य की ऊँगली के ऊपरी पर्व पर दिखाई देती है। यह जातक को महान तर्क शक्ति या फिर साधन-सृजन करने की शक्ति अथवा दोनों ही प्रदान करती है 

It would be found above the top phalange of the ring finger of the left hand of the bearer having a circular shape. It will bestow either great prowess in arguments or resourcefulness of mind or both. This line generally thin.

तीसरी अँगुली को सूर्य की अँगुली या अनामिका कहते हैं। भगवान् सूर्य ब्रहमाण्ड के आदि कारण हैं। इसमें भगवान् शिव स्वयं निवास करते हैं।

इससे जातक की यश कीर्ति धन व संतान का अनुमान लगाया जाता है। इस अँगुली पर चक्र सौभाग्य का प्रतीक है। इसके प्रभाव से जातक, अन्य लक्षणों के पक्ष में होने पर चक्रवर्ती बन सकता है और समाज की सहायता से धन की प्राप्ति होती है। ऐसे जातक उत्तम व्यापारी, धनवान, उद्योग धंधों में सफल, प्रतिष्ठित, यशस्वी, ऐश्वर्यवान, राजनीतिज्ञ, कुशल प्रशासनिक अधिकारी भी हो सकते हैं।

सम्पूर्ण संसार मात्र शिव के कारण ही है। भगवान् शिव ने अपनी अनामिका अँगुली से ब्रह्मा जी का पाँचवा सिर काट दिया।

अनामिका उंगली का एक नाम अनामा भी है अर्थात ब्रह्महत्या के उपरांत भी जो निंदित न हो, वही अनामा है अर्थात जिसे कभी पाप न लगे वही अनामिका है। अनामिका से देवकार्य, मध्यमा से पितृकर्य व व तर्जनी से स्वयं  कार्य किए जाते हैं।

अनामिका अंगुली को धार्मिक कार्यों के लिये पवित्र-अत्यधिक पावन-दैविक  माना जाता है। पूजा अनुष्ठान आदि धार्मिक कार्यों में अनामिका उंगली में कुशा से बनी पवित्री धारण करने का विधान है। यह मान, अभिमान रहित और यश और कीर्ति की सूचक है। इसके नीचे भगवान् सूर्य-आदित्य (अर्थात जो कभी भी दूसरे स्थान पर न हो अर्थात सर्वदा पहले स्थान पर ही रहे) का निवास है। इशौप्निषद आदि वेदांगो में भी त्रिकाल संध्या में सूर्य को ही पंच देवों में स्थान प्राप्त है। इससे ही देवगणों को गंध और अक्षत अर्पित किया जाता है।

मध्यमा एवं अनामिका में मध्य में छेद न हो तो जातक युवावस्था में सुखी होता है।

अनामिका एवं कनिष्ठिका के मध्य छेद न होने पर जातक वृद्धावस्था में सुखी होता है।

MARALI NETRIKA मरालिनेत्रिका :: 

मरालिनेत्रिका कृष्णा रेखा तिर्यक् गता स्फुटा। अनामिकामूलदेशात् किंचिदूर्ध्वस्थिता च सा॥

स्त्रीणां सौभाग्यदानेन नाम्ना सौन्दर्यमीरितम्। 

MARALI NETRIKA मरालिनेत्रिका

यह  काली रेखा अनामिका-सूर्य की ऊँगली के निम्न पर्व में स्थित होती है। इसके कारण स्त्री जातक को सुन्दर हँस जैसी ऑंखें ,ख़ुशी हुए सौंदर्य की प्राप्ति होती है।

Its found vertically above the foot of Ring-Sun finger. Its dark and clear in out line and gives great opulence and happiness to women. By name it suggest Swan’s eyes and great beauty.

OPULENCE :: अधिकता, बहुतायत, plethora, splendour, resplendence, grandeur, greatness, impressiveness,  glory, glory, majesty, nobility, pomp, pomp and circumstance, stateliness, sumptuousness,  luxuriousness, luxury, lavishness, richness, brilliance, radiance, dazzle, beauty, elegance, distinction, spectacle, pageantry, splendid, gorgeousness,  elevation, transcendence, plurality,  exuberance, superabundance.

GODHNI गोध्नी  ::  

गोध्नी तदूर्ध्वसंबन्धा सा विद्याधररेखया। ऊर्ध्वोन्मुखी निम्नरूपा रेखा स्यात् सर्वकर्मणाम्॥

शुभाशुभात्मनां सर्वशास्त्राणां चापि हानिकृत्। गोध्नीति नामचापयस्या: गवां नाशप्रसूचनात्॥ 

GODHNI गोध्नी

यह रेखा गहरी सुगठित ऊपर की ओर उठी हुई रेखा मरालि नेत्रिका के ऊपर पाई जाती है और विद्या-सूर्य रेखा से जुड़ी हुई होती है। इस रेखा के धारक जातक का शास्त्रों का अर्जित ज्ञान नष्ट हो जाता है। इसके साथ साथ यह बुरे-भले सभी कर्मों का नाश भी करती है। इसको यह नाम गायों के नष्ट होने-करने से प्राप्त हुआ है। 

This is found a little over Marali Netrika, connected with Vidya Rekha (Sun Line arising around the rascette). Its deep and well cut, turning upwards. It bestows destruction of all activities-good and bad; emanating from the knowledge of Shastr-scriptures. The name from from the destruction of cows.

VRATTA वृत्ता :: 

वृत्ता भित्वा च गोध्न्यग्रं तिर्यक् पर्वाग्रसंस्थितिः। स्ववर्णाश्रमयोग्यां च सा वृत्तिं संप्रयच्छति॥

अस्याSपि फलोक्त्यैव नामार्थः प्रकटीकृत:।

वृत्ता अनामिका-सूर्य की ऊँगली के ऊपरी पर्व में गोध्नी को कटती हुई स्थित होती है। इसके प्रभाव से जातक अपने जातिगत-वर्णाश्रम धर्म का पालन करता है। 

Vratta is found at the top phalange of the Ring-Sun finger, piercing Goghni’s tip. It makes the bearer follow the principles-tendencies of his own caste and Ashram-stage of life.

SHAT HRADA शतह्रदा :: 

शतह्रदाSनामिकाया मध्यगा मूलपर्वण:। वर्तुला पणसंकाशा वैरमेव प्रयच्छति॥

शतह्रदा सौहृदस्य चंचलत्वप्रसूचनात्।

सूर्य ऊँगली-अनामिका के मूल पर्व में उपस्थित यह रेखा सिक्के के समान गोलाई लिए होती है। इसके प्रभाव से जातक को शत्रुता प्राप्त होती है और मित्रों का अभाव रहता है।

ॐ गं गणपतये नम:।

अक्षरं परमं ब्रह्म ज्योतीरूपं सनातनम्।

गुणातीतं नीराकारं स्वेच्छामयमनन्तजम्॥

SMRATI  स्मृति: :: 

स्मृति: विद्युत्समानाभा मध्यमामूलपर्वगा।

अधः स्थितामतिक्रम्य तिर्यक् विद्याप्रदा नृणाम्॥

जातिस्मृतिप्रदत्वाच्च नाम्ना स्मृतिरितीरिता।  

बीच-शनि की ऊँगली के निम्न पर्व पर मौजूद यह रेखा संधि रेखा को काटकर शनि क्षेत्र में प्रवेश करती है। सीधी खड़ी यह रेखा, विद्युत के समान चमकदार होती है। धारक जातक को यह रेखा उत्तम-महान ज्ञान प्रदायक है। इसको स्मृति नाम जातक को पूर्वजन्म की स्मृति के कारण प्राप्त हुआ है। 

SMRATI  स्मृति:

Its found over the base phalange of the middle finger, crossing the junction line and reaching the plain of Saturn. Its vertical bright and looks like lightening-flash. It grants great leaning to the bearer. The name comes from the memory of the previous life to the bearer.

UAHYA ऊह्या :: 

ऊह्या स्मृतेरूर्ध्वभागे रसाभै: बिन्दुभि: चिता।

रेखा तिर्यक् तया युक्ता पदवाक्यप्रमाणवित्॥

ऊह्येत्युक्ता शस्त्रविद्भि:  ऊह्य शक्ति प्रसूचनात्। 

यह रेखा स्मृति के ऊपर पाई जाती है। सीधी खड़ी इस रेखा पर चमकदार चिन्ह नज़र आते हैं। इस रेखा का धारक जातक, वेदों का पारगामी विद्वान होगा। इस रेखा को ऊह्या नाम इसलिए मिला है, क्योंकि जातक को विलक्षण कल्पना और निष्कर्ष शक्ति की प्राप्त होती है। 

UAHYA ऊह्या

Its found over Smrati. This vertical line is studded with bright spots. One with formation will become a great scholar of Veds. The line is called so, since it gives great power of imagination and inference to the owner.

KELIKA केलिका :: 

केलिका मध्यमामध्यपर्वसंस्था स्फुटाकृतिः।

तिर्यक् जितेन्द्रिययत्वंच स्वातन्त्रयं चांपि तत्फलम्॥

केलिका लीलया सर्वप्रवत्तित्वप्रसूचनात्।

KELIKAकेलिका

यह साफ और सीधी खड़ी रेखा मध्यमा ऊँगली के मध्य पर्व पर स्थित होती है। यह मनुष्य को अपनी इंद्रियों-अंगो पर और स्वयं पर काबू-आधिपत्य प्रदान करती है। व्यक्ति यह स्वयं अपनी इच्छा से करेगा। 

This clear vertical line is present over the middle phalange of the middle finger. It grants conquest over senses and personal liberty. It suggests that the actions of one be there in sporting spirit.

VRATTI वृत्ति :: 

वृत्ति स्यात् मध्यमामूर्ध्नि संयुक्ता रेखायाSन्यया।

तिर्यक् गता मकुटवत्  रेखा सर्वसमृद्धिदा॥

वृत्तिः स्वजातिविहितवृत्तिसंसूचनादियम्।  

VRATTIवृत्ति

अन्य रेखाओं से साथ उपस्थित मध्य ऊँगली के  पहले पर्व पर यह रेखा मुकुटाकृत्ति लिये हुए होती है। इसकी उपस्तिथि के कारण जातक धारक को हर वस्तु प्रचुर मात्रा में प्राप्त होती है। इसको यह नाम इसलिये मिला है क्योंकि जातक धर्म के नियमों का पालन पूरी निष्ठा और ईमानदारी से करेगा। 

Coupled with other lines, its found at the top phalange of the middle finger. Its present in the shape of a crown.. It gives plentiful off all amenities to the possessor. The suggests that one would be scrupulous follower of the rules framed by the society.

राजी जञ्जीरनुमा अंगूठी के समान चमकदार रेखा है, जो मध्य ऊँगली के मध्य पर्व की सन्धि पर उपस्थित होती है। इसके प्रभाव से जातक को ढेर सारी धन-सम्पत्ति और खुशियों की प्राप्ति होती है। इसको राजी नाम ऊँगली को तैलीय रंग और अत्यधिक कोमलता प्रदान करने के कारण प्राप्त हुआ है।

नीडा सीधी खड़ी हुई रेखा है, जो मध्य ऊँगली के सबसे ऊपरी पर्व पर पाई जाती है। इसके प्रभाव से जातक को लम्बी उम्र और धन-दौलत की प्राप्ति होती है।इसके प्रभाव से जातक को कृषि के माध्यम से बहुत ज्यादा आय की प्राप्ति होती है। परन्तु यदि यह रेखा टेढ़ी हो तो विपरीत प्रभाव दिखाती है।

AMLA अमला

अमला स्यात् कनिष्ठाग्रे संधिरेखोपरिस्थिता। 

यवाकृति: तया योगात् मनोनैर्मल्यदा सदा। अमलेत्युदिता मनोनैर्मल्यसूचनात्॥  

कनिष्ठिका ऊँगली के ऊपरी पर्व पर, संधि रेखा के ऊपर, मौजूद यह रेखा जो-द्वीप के समान होती है। इसके प्रभाव से जातक का मन-मस्तिष्क और विचार निरन्तर शुद्ध बने रहते हैं। 

It is present over the top phalange of the little finger, above the node-junction in the shape of barley-island.It blesses the bearer with perpetual purity of mind-thoughts.

मेदुरानाम सा रेखा कनिष्ठामध्यपर्वण:। मध्यस्था परितोSन्याभिर्युक्ता कृषाकृति:॥ पुत्रभ्रातृसुहृद्वर्गसंप्तसौख्यं च विन्दति। मेदुरेति समाख्याता स्थूलदेहत्वसूचनात्॥ 

कनिष्ठ ऊँगली के मध्य पर्व पर पाई जाने वाली यह रेखा पतली अन्य रेखाओं से घिरी हो सकती है। यह रेखा पुत्र, भाई, मित्रों, धन-दौलत और स्वास्थ्य के सम्बन्ध में सौभाग्य को प्रदर्शित करती है। 

This is found over the middle phalange of the little finger surrounded by other lines. Its slender in appearance. It shows good fortune in respect of sons, brothers, friends, wealth and health. It indicates stoutness of body.

RATRI रात्रि

RATRI रात्रि :: 

रात्रि: कनिष्ठिकामूलपर्वस्था मेदुरासमा। कृष्णवर्णा मोहदा स्यात् नामार्थो मलीनत्वतः॥  

कनिष्ठिका ऊँगली के निम्नतम पर्व पर पाई जाने वाली यह काली रेखा मनुष्य को मूढ़ और उत्तेजित बनाती है। 

It is found at the base phalange of the little finger, black in colour. It makes the bearer infatuated. Ratri stands for night, when demons are active and stands for sinful acts.

INFATUATION :: मुग्ध, उत्तेजित, मूढ़, मोहित, संगी, जिस का बुद्धि नाश किया गया, मूर्ख, सम्मोह; fascinated, perplexed, excited, agitated, elated, fussed, effervescent, foolish, besotted, silly, deluded, bewitched, lustful, associated, libidinous, adhesive, habituated, stupidity, foolishness, folly, absurdity, silliness, love, fascination, Eden.

छोटी ऊँगली के पहले-ऊपरी पर्व पर, सीधी खड़ी इस स्पष्ट रेखा के साथ, अन्य रेखाएँ भी मौजूद हो सकती हैं। यह मनुष्य को अत्युत्तम स्वास्थ्य और दीर्घ आयु प्रदान करती है। इसके नाम का अर्थ एक अत्यधित सफल जीवन के साथ आयु पूर्ण करना है।

KAMATH DHAWASTIKA कमठध्वस्तिका :: 

कमठध्वस्तिकानाम या कनिष्ठोर्ध्वपर्वगा। तिर्यक् गताSतिपरुषा साSत्युच्चा स्फुटाकृति:॥
